Hello members and friends of the North Central Alberta Amateur Radio Club, Thanks to everyone who has signed up to date.
But we still have duty shifts to fill.
AS AN ADDED INCENTIVE – one lucky volunteer will win a D-Star HOTSPOT, courtesy of Dave Hughes. Thank you Dave!
Call for volunteers for the May 13-14, 2026 North Central Alberta Amateur Radio Club (NCAARC) casino at the Century Casino in St. Albert.
This casino event funds NCAARC activities and equipment and is a great opportunity to spend time with fellow radio club members and friends (yes, please invite your friends).
Please click on the link below for the sign-up sheet. As the casino runs over 2 days/nights, please consider doing the same role on both days/nights.

Key roles will also need to complete the usual AGLC Volunteer Worker Application form. These are: General Manager, Alternate General Manager, Banker, Cashier and Count Room Supervisor. Link to the form is below.

I encourage you to come out and pick up a shift to help make the casino event a success.
The work is easy, the food is pretty good and plentiful, and the company excellent. And the night shift team gets to stay up late!
Any question, please reach out to me anytime.
Thank you in advance,
73s

Echolink/IRLP
Our usual repeater at Fire Station 3 has been having intermittent issues for a number of months. Last Saturday we removed the ICOM repeater, IRLP Node, and SCOM repeater controller to allow for further diagnostics on the bench. This means that for the next while there will be no Echolink or IRLP services available. A spare repeater was placed into service as a standalone machine in the interim.
